Is chivalry still a thing? Iâm a 29-year-old bi male, and honestly, wala pa talaga akong naging relationship. Like, buong twenties ko, super focused ako sa work and studiesâso parang ngayon ko lang naisip na, "Okay, maybe itâs time to put myself out there." Pero real talk, meron pa bang mga guys na willing to actually make an effort to pursue someone? Yung hindi puro easy or convenient lang?
Kasi like, I grew up in a very traditional and religious family, so medyo old-fashioned din ako when it comes to love. Hindi naman ako hard to get or anything, pero gusto ko yung parang may value yung effort, hindi lang puro swipe-swipe sa app or casual hookups. Feeling ko kasi nowadays, parang ang bilis mag-move on ng tao. If they donât get what they want agad, next na agad sila.
Iâve had moments na naisip ko, "What if siya na?" pero hindi naman natuloyâmaybe kasi I hesitated, or baka they just werenât the right person. Pero minsan talaga, I wonder: am I being too idealistic for hoping for something deeper? Like, does pursuing someone even exist anymore?
Kayo ba, may success stories kayo of making an effort kahit parang walang hope at first? Yung tipong âI didnât give up, and eventually they said yesâ vibes? Or is that something na parang outdated na lang in this day and age?
