I am not trying to make a flame war, but I can come with my two cents from have been in a 20 - years long monotonous relationship and married for most of them. I'm white, he is Filipino, and we are the same age, meeting in London when we both worked there two decades ago.
So I will just share my opinions and maybe calm some down.
From living with Filipinos, yeah, I know you are emotional. You are experts in what ifs, and experts in making scenarios in your head, that in time make you stressed.
First to the bad part. Yes, some people cheat, and some people do have alternative motives. That's sad, and that's the truth. In this post, I focus on the hope and decency of people, so the cheaters will cheat regardless of what I say where.
To make a long-term relationship work, it's one thing you have to get over, and that's jealousy, and what ifs. I will use some examples from this Subreddit; You have a boyfriend who works out, and want to show off his progress on social media. This can trigger jealousy in the other partner, as he doesn't want to share. But think about it, would not most of us want to show off our progress to other people, and not have cheating in our mind?
Other things are my partner is with other gay guys. We all like to make friendships, and ending up having sex with each other is not the norm. I think if you have a boyfriend that you can trust, reason goes over lust. I know we are used to lust controlling yourself, but I can honestly say it's possible to control it.
Likewise, I mean. If you want a long-lasting relationship, you cannot sit home and cry over MINOR things like he is talking to a boy, he is posting shirtless photos, he is getting a bit close to that friend, or he wants to have friends without me., or I don't want him to jakol alone. This is all normal, and it's all an essential part of having a relationship.
So my suggestion is to take a step back, put in some trust, take a deep breath and live a happier relationship. If he cheats, then he does, but if not, you saved a perfect one, that you gave trust to, and he still chose you even with temptation in front of him. If you didn't let him, you never know he was that goof.
