Both my boyfriend and I are in our 30's, well-established in our banking careers and financially stable. We've been living together for many years, we don't have any vices, we rescue animals, we're health-conscious, and socially "woke".
For some time now, we have been strongly considering having at least one child. But the options I see from simple internet reaserch seem extremely limited and surprisingly expensive. I just can't get over the irony that having a child is something even stupid unready teenagers can do BY ACCIDENT, while the system makes it so difficult for worthier potential-parents who are unable to have biological children of their own. We know we are capable of giving at least one person a decent life and a loving family... what must we do?
I want to hear from LGBT parents (either biological or by adoption). How did you do it? And how is is going? What advice can you give us?
