While I’m happy marriage equality passed in a neighboring country Thailand, I’m frustrated we haven’t even passed an anti-discrimination law in our home countr the Philippines. As someone at a marrying age, ang dami kong anxieties around the lack of legal rights for same-sex partners - can’t adopt jointly, can’t own property together, can’t make medical and legal decisions for one another :( I hope we as a community get organized and fight strongly for this more than ever.
