Okay... There's this new BL series roaming around my fyp on tiktok. TBH I find cute coz the main character is somehow relatable. Coz' he's that everyday gay guy. Lack of a better term "Yung halatang baklang malambot na overachiever." It hits home tbh that's why I'm kinda rooting for that BL even though I don't watch BL series.
Tapos nung nag babasa ako ng comments, somehow it doesn't sit well with me. Coz' they're actually shipping the best friend and the love interest nun MC. Then the way they dismiss unn MC is disheartening kasi sabi nun isang comment if attractive lang daw unn MC it could've been more viral. THE DISRESPECT. They don't is that just because malamya and somehow not convetionally attractive unn MC you're dismissing it. It somehow diminished the hard work of the actor.
This is why I don't watch BL series coz' it's too shallow and doesn't have any representation dun sa "halatang bakla", femmes, non-binary, and it betweens that doesn't conform to the masc4masc thinking.
It sucks kasi yung tanging representation na nakikita for us, hindi pa binibigyan ng credit.
