Hello everyone! I am an incoming freshman student student niyan in Manila and I am looking into opening a bank account for my savings (around 10k) and for sending money for my allowance since from province ako so through bank nalang isesend yung allowance ko.
Any suggestions kung saang bank maganda mag open for that?? Initially I plan on opening an account on UnionBank (for both purposes) kaso ang concern ko is walang malapit na branch (AFAIK) sa school/titirahan ko niyan. I am near FEU/FEU Tech/UST/UE so preferably a bank near those sana. Hindi pa ako gaano nakakapagikot ikot saarea na yun so l’m not sure kung anong bank yung malapit. Pero AFAIK, BDO (Espana and Recto) ang pinakamalapit saakin.
In my case, what would you guys recommend? Should I separate my savings and allowance ba or pagsamahin ko nalang? Also what should I do?
Edit: I also just found out recently about digital banks (Tonik, CIMB, etc). Should I put my savings nalang ba doon?
Update: Found out that BDO España is the nearest saakin. However,, nag s-second thoughts ako sa BDO since mas may mga transaction fees. Though BPI is malapit rin naman kaso mas less frequent ako around that area. Also a bonus rin sa BPI kasi nakikita ko mas convenient ang online and mobile banking nila. Tingin niyo ano mas better? Huhu
Thank you everyone!
