I found out about CIMB thru GCash and after a bit of research on /r/phinvest, I decided to open an account. I got my debit card this week. The convenience of free ATM withdrawals is pretty awesome. The only flaw I'm seeing is the card doesn't work with POS machines. I've tried it at SM Savemore and Starbucks but I get the "Do not honor" error. I'm chalking it up to outdated POS machines but if it doesn't work on the newer ones with the Visa Paywave (which seem pretty rare cause cash is king and all that), I might have to carry two cards; CIMB for withdrawals and BDO for transactions. Anyone else with a similar experience?

EDIT: I got gas earlier and the card actually worked. No PIN but I had to sign. Another thing I noticed is that the POS machine was under Metrobank. The previous times it failed, it was under BDO. I guess it depends on the bank host if the transaction will be accepted or not.
