There will be a profit of 30K in 30 months and I’m thinking that this might be a good investment rather than letting the money sit in the bank and gain little interest. I just want to know what sort of contract or what collateral should I take to ensure that this friend will pay me honestly. Any thoughts?
1st Edit: I was not expecting the number of responses (akala ko tulog na lahat lol it’s 2am na). I’ll definitely go with the advice of the majority. I truly appreciate all of the comments especially the educational ones. I’m not a financially literate person but I hope I’ll eventually get there.
2nd Edit: I called my friend via messenger today and explained why I can’t lend her the money. I gave a small amount to help her and wished her well. She understands naman daw and thanked me for being honest and in helping her, at least. We talked a bit about other topics before we hang up. This friend helped me a lot in the past, not financially tho, but she always shows up whenever I need someone to talk to. She has a big heart for her families and friends. I sincerely hope things will turn around for the better with her soon.
I wish I have all the money in the world to help her but I don’t want to lose her as a friend and the money as well. I will still help whenever I can.
The responses here are very much helpful. Thank you! I appreciate all of you and hope we don’t encounter the same dilemma in the future. Cheers!
If there's one lesson I'll never forget: wag magpautang sa friend
