Hi, this is my (25M) 1st time inquiring about health-related insurance since I started to take my life a little more seriously now. Natakot ako since my 80k friend always has most of his salary wiped due to his mom's sickness.
I want to prepare for bad times in case it happens to my family. Now for the family
Me (Middle Child) - 25M, healthy, earning 23k from full time, 5k from uncle's company as part-time
Father (70) - has glaucoma, hypertension, pneumonia, and suddenly got thin since last year (I haven't checked what caused this since we barely make ends meet with my father's pension helping the family)
Mother (59 going 60 this 29th) - hypertension
Eldest (28) - jobless, college dropout, has PCOS, and Bipolar Disorder
Youngest (24) - jobless, also a college dropout, has a deaf left ear.
Now forgive me for my ignorance regarding insurance, this is the reason why I posted on this sub so I could learn more about which is better for my situation since I'm obviously the breadwinner, and I wanna prepare my "arsenal" specifically for my parents. So which do you guys think is the most practical approach for my situation, health card or health insurance? And which would be the best insurance/card provider?
P.S. I'm also looking for a better job for next year since I learned that my current company doesn't pay our contributions to PhilHealth because "nakakalimutan lang"
