Here me out. Like listening to this. It talks about an escape. An escape from reality and relationships. I wonder if this song tells what depression is like when they feel numb to everything. Where they just want an escape from everything. Just a thought. Let me know. I know candace was really sad when she thought Jeremy broke up with her.

Living with monkeys could relate to the part where you don't know who you are anymore, and are finding yourself and the strength to move on or feel better.

Or this song is what is like to feel sad in general.
