Every philodendron I’ve had has this problem
Post Body

Every indoor philodendron I’ve owned either doesn’t grow any leaves or has one leaf and then it slowly does this and no new leaves grow.

Can anyone give advice on what’s happening and how to stop it?

I water with bottled water with added liquid nutrients when the soil is almost dry and it has moderate light. Humidity is usually between 50-90 depending on the day and temp can fluctuate between 80-65 degrees F

I've had mixed success with alocasias but I keep mine in terra cotta with a drip tray. I keep a chunky soil mix and never let it completely dry out. I water once a weekish.

This is my Regal Shield and it stands about 54 inches tall.
