What Iâve learned is that this team could win 118 games next season and it will mean zilch unless they get to the World Series. They lost my trust which is a big bummer. A wild card team can easily take you out.
This is a baseball forum. Fans not shitting on overpaid players is a wild concept.
He canât be back next year. The vibes bullshit is over.
Yeah, remember all that spring training talk? On a mission type stuffâŠ
Thatâs fine. Enjoy the same post elimination press conference next October. Heâs a nice guy, did a commendable job, but the days of lighting a fire under the teamâs ass are over.
The team has gotten too comfortable with him. Sorry.
They need a shake up. Justified or not. That Hoffman decision when âall hands on deckâ is cause to turn the page.
We had 3 shots⊠Wheeler/Nola/Ranger/Sanchez plus another legit pitcherâŠnot a #5, like a #2A. Donât resign Hoffman. Blew his chance. Keep Harper and Trea (because of contracts) and every other roster spot is completely tradeable. Goodbye Topper/Long. Send a message that this is completely unacceptable. Oh yeah, donât be bitches at next yearâs deadline.

He wouldâve brought energy to a tired team. Hays did ZERO in that category. I canât think of a more vanilla move.
