Hi, I’m new to stamps and have had a hard time getting an answer to these questions.

I have legitimate stamps (purchased directly from USPS) that are not tagged. Does this happen sometimes? Are all legitimate stamps tagged?

I also have stamps that are not tagged (purchased from eBay) but otherwise appear legit, so I’m not sure what to make of these. The resolution is crisp, microprinting is visible, and perfs are even - assuming these are things that make a stamp legit (haven’t found any good resources on this stuff).

Thoughts? These are all stamps less than 10 years old.
