So, I'm in South Philly and have been using Ritner Medical for the longest time, just because thats what my parents used, but in the past 5 years I've found them to be horrible with customer service (no one ever picks up the phone, almost impossible to even get an appointment, though the doctors were fine imo.) Now that I'm nearing 30 and married, I'd like to find a stable PCP for my wife and I, within South Philly/Center City area. I'm on IBX for insurance rn if that helps, and I've checked ZocDoc and other reddit posts asking this same question, but they're a bit dated. Looks like Stoll Medical might be the choice? Can anyone give their reviews, and which docs are most recommended? Overall looking for someone knowledgable and easy to talk to/actually cares about their patients; doesn't take 2 weeks to be seen.
Thanks!!
Edit: Thank you all for the recs. I'm going with Dr. Alexandra Stough @ Stoll for today since there was an availability and positive reviews almost everywhere. Will update with my experience. If I should need a second option, looks like Jefferson Internal Medicine would be next.
Edit2: so, I saw Dr. Stough and imo, so far so good. I didnt feel rushed, maybe shes a good one 🤷🏻♂️
TIL. Yeah I have PPO, so that explains that.
I guess I technically dont have a PCP? I havent been to my regular doctor in years bc I got tired of trying to make an appointment but today I needed one, and will likely need one soon anyway since I'm turning 30 and wanna get myself checked out since its been a while. Ritner Medical was my PCP....last time I actually got an appointment lol
