I've taken my mother to the flower show nearly every year for 15 years at this point, it's a great tradition between us. She can't walk too much anymore and doesn't do too much gardening, but we've made sure to attend every year, even if just for a couple hours
Ticket prices have become outrageous. This year, tickets are $43.50 each before taxes and fees. Unlike past years there's no option to buy discounted tickets at acme, no senior discounts, very limited group ticket rates, and even the option of buying a membership to the horticultural society gives a pathetic discount of 10% on two tickets. This year if my group of 5 wants to go, we'll collectively spend $220. And that is just to get in the door
