Copy-pasting from r/Baguio since not much interest yet.
"Bread" is a stray cat who has been around our apartment since shortly after we moved in. For the past few months we've taken the steps to try and transition him to indoor-cat life.
We have taken him to the vet to help gauge his health and condition. We had him neutered. Unfortunately his blood tested positive for FIV (basically HIV for felines) and we have 3 cats so we cannot keep him. We can't put our cats at risk (god forbid a fight happens) and it's not fair to keep him penned up forever. We'd also hate to have to return him to the stray lifestyle.
He is a calm and friendly cat indoors. He likes being pet but is sensitive about his rear being touched, so be careful. He'll warm up to it over time. He does not fight or act aggressive to our indoor cats but he does get aggressive to other cats outdoors so I would recommend keeping him as a fully indoor cat.
He loves his scratch-pad (you can see him sleeping on it in one pic) as well as his blankie and heating pad (he is sleeping on them in another pic). He also enjoys a couple of small toy mice we gave him as well.
He's a sweet and lovely cat and the only reason we're looking to adopt him out is because of the FIV and risk to our other cats. :( If you're interested in a single cat and would rather adopt a former stray than buy one, please message me.
PS. We call him "Bread" but he does not respond or recognize it as his name, so feel free to rename him. :)
