His cheque for his last pay was around P160k but NLRC ruled he was only entitled to P40k.
Sa mga trigger-happy mag-file sa DOLE, check nyo din kung may merits yung case nyo kesa magsayang kayo ng oras. Ex-employee was let go after 3 months during his probationary period. Yung post is senior manager na talaga so very strict ang standards. Documented how he didn’t really accomplish much, even the targets he set for himself. The company ended up spending close to a million for that case alone (a negligible amount for them) pero for the ex-employee part, P160k na sana, naging P40k pa. Gumastos pa sya sa abogado, na-stress pa sya at lahat.
Hindi naman ako kampi sa kompanya ko at di ko din personally kilala si ex-employee pero just sharing how not all cases will have your ideal ending. Kumausap muna kayo ng lawyer kung may laban ba kayo kesa inaakyat nyo agad sa NLRC o DOLE.
Edit: To clarify, the ex-employee had 20 years of exp (which I previously mentioned in the comments). He was a senior manager but his role was supposed to replace the business unit head who was resigning. Yes, it was a tough post since you basically will need to generate revenue. The company cannot afford to put someone who’s not fit for the job. With 20 years of exp in the industry, hindi naman ata mahirap makahanap ng work. It’s not like may inichapwera kaming batang empleyado na walang kaalam-alam at lumapit lang sa DOLE.
