Post Body

Thank you very much to those people who helped me with my post regarding theย Singaporean or Filipino Manager. I got both jobs and we are now in the process of job offers.

To recap, here's the summary of the updated Job Offers they presented:

Job A

Offered JO Salary: 200k
Industry: FMCG
Job: Technical Project Manager
Manager: Filipino
Work Setup: 4 days WFH, 1 day Office, Philippines

Situation:

  • Required me to send payslips and other benefits of the company
  • Told them the NDA thing and payslip can just be downloaded with my company's internal system which I can't provide since I'm already resigned
  • Recruiter asked to possibly furnish the salary credited to my bank account instead (wth)
  • Has sent me the JO
  • I asked the recruiter to give me a week to decide if I'll go with their offer

Job B

Offered Salary: 230k (they increased it by 10k --- informed via final interview, so happy)
Industry: Telecommunications
Job: Project Manager
Manager: Singaporean
Work Setup: 2 days WFH, 3 days Office, Philippines

Situation:

  • So shocked that my upcoming manager is a well-known CTO in Singapore
  • We had our final interview last Wednesday (Sept 11), and that day, they said that I was hired and will proceed with JO.
  • Requires me to start immediately but I badly want to take a vacation first in Thailand and Vietnam (from Sept 23 to October 6) before joining them.
  • They said that I told them that I was immediate but the JO hasn't been released yet.
  • Waited last Thurs (Sept 12) and Fri (Sept 13) and they said that they are still crafting the JO.
  • Moreover, I'm really expecting the release of JO on Monday (Sept 16)

I'm very willing to compromise naman if JOB B requires me to start immediately if that's their requirement.

But may I ask, how can I delay my start date by Oct 7 or on another date? Any tips? Also, if there are recruiters here, how long does it take to craft a JO?
