How to establish the need for pay raise

Hey workforce! I’m just helping out a friend who is remotely working for a foreign company (no PH linkages) for 5 months now.

The company: Only has less than 30 employees, so unique job posts are specific to few to one employee. Like there can be no possibility of you taking a leave as there can be no substitutes.

So when she was offered with the job, she thought the pay was enough given the asked job responsibilities. Spending weeks further with the company, she felt drenched with tasks (although still within the job description but more volume on the tasks). There are occasions where she can’t accomplish her deliverables within the day, though this was communicated naman with her manager and resolved.

However, with her constant search also for better opportunity (since the role is remote and pure salary lng dn ang compensation, no other benefits), she lately just found out that the role’s average market salary could be around 40-50K. Nasa line of 3 ung inaaccept nya before. So she missed an opportunity for negotiation before.

So the concern: We can’t see heavy points yet to reason out for a need for pay raise (at least for now, thats why we’re asking help here). The market salary card may not work. I also know the 6 months rule, tho the request may be possible even if less. How can we draft a valid and properly crafted request for a pay raise?

Thanks a lot for the help!
