The company where my dad has been working for years now is shutting down in how many weeks. He has been informed naman by his boss months ago and now nagpapatulong siya sa akin to make him a resume. All throughout his career more on managerial work yung mga jobs niya. Dami niya na rin kasing work experience kasi I’ve seen his biodata na binigay niya sa akin and nagstart siya ng 1988 pa. Three out of his four sons are working na (including me) and kami umaako ng bills sa house. He wants to work to provide pa rin sa family since may isa pang nag aaral sa amin at for sure ayaw nung nakatengga lang siya sa bahay namin.
So ang question ko lang, mahihirapan ba siya makahanap ng work with his age? Since natural companies for sure wants younger professionals to work with them. My father is intelligent and eloquent, for sure he can pass a lot of interviews with flying colors pero ayon I’m quite worried lang saan at baka nga mahirapan siya sa paghahanap.
Can you guys recommend where can he look for jobs? Should I help him make a linkedin profile din?
Tips/Advice are greatly appreciated!
Edit: Grabe I didn’t expect my post to blowup! For context, last job ng dad ko is he’s a manager ng tito ko where they lend different construction equipments. Thanks for the suggestions and advice. Pumunta kasi yung dad ko sa HS reunion nila and sinabi niya sa akin baka pwede ko na simulan yung resume niya and we’ll finish it together. Gagawa rin kami linkedin acc if he comes home. My dad is a social butterfly kaya nga rin ewan ko bakit di niya na utilize ang connections niya pero rest assured na I’ll tell him yung mga tips ninyo. Maraming salamat 🙏
