It was a very interesting group of people. Of course, there is no booster option yet so everyone had never had a COVID-19 vaccine. We were (and still are) the only location showing as having Novavax in central FL so we filled up our appointments extremely quickly. The patients we saw were split into 1) those who had some kind of medical contraindication to the existing vaccines and 2) those who were against COVID vaccines as a whole and were the least against getting this one (we had a few active duty military folks in this camp today). The first group was amazing and extremely thankful. One patient even gave me a 10 second hug after I administered because she was so thankful. The second group was a mixed bag. Some were fine and thankful, others kinda grilled me on the vaccine and itβs side effects. One asked if I would just waste the dose and give him his card. All of them ended up taking it after talking with our pharmacist, so I hope he eased their fears. Has anyone else here had experience with the shot?
