As a physician, how can I find out what medications are currently unavailable / on backorder?

Hello, I am a pediatrician. I often have families tell me that the medications I am prescribing are widely unavailable at pharmacies. This seems particularly problematic with ADHD medications. Is there any way for a physician to look up what medications are currently widely unavailable so that the physicians/prescribers can order an alternative?

Thanks!
