Anyone get tattoo removal before surgery?

I'm coming to terms with the fact that I may not qualify for Alt. Which leaves rff (mld doesn't give enough sensation to be worth it for me) my issue is I have tattoos on both forearms that I DONT want on my penis.
If this is my only option I'd want to get laser tattoo removal beforehand.
Has anyone else done this?
