Rant: the fitting system is clunky at best, how do you even upgrade your player?, the commentary is repetitive and boring AF, OMG the rivalries are annoying AF stop!

The title basically explains some of the stuff that has me tweaked. Can anyone shed some light on how best to upgrade your player fir better equipment instead of trying to sort out that ridiculous fitting system? Does buying better clubs do anything? Does changing sponsors often help get better clubs? I'm at a loss.
