So, I got an email from my College Graduate Office telling me that I'm in the list of University Scholars. First time ko siya since 2019 na nag-aral ako. So apparently it's an award for students who did well during a semester. (Halatang hindi nagbasa ng manual)

But, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about it. I'm not sure given the political climate. Iskolar ng Bayan pero mismong Bayan isinusuka ka, kesyo komunista, terrorista, rebelde. Nakakaramdam rin ako ng takot dahil malapit na sa katotohanan na mauupo na yung anak ng diktador. Ah, one of the brightest? Yeah, you get one of the brightest dots on your forehead. Hindi ko alam ano pa ang saysay.

I'm not sure if I should tell my parents. They never benefitted from my studying anyway. They don't want anything to do with my studies. They don't want me to use it on them, they want me to use it on my would be children instead. They're also lowkey apologists who could not discern fake news. They're also misinformed about students from public and state universities. You know, the usual "rally kayo ng rally" narrative from their mouths.

Can I at least celebrate this one with you people?
