I was 3 whole minutes late to a pediatrician appointment this morning (My kid HAD to poop when I was trying to leave, and then GPS took me to the wrong place, and no one answered when I called for clarification on directions). 3 minutes, no one in the waiting room, and they refused to see my kid. I had filled out all their pre-appointment paperwork online, already, which takes a lot longer than 3 minutes, they could have seen my kid.

So I called to cancel my other 2 children’s appointments this week(I have zero interest in a pediatrician who doesn’t allow 3 minutes wiggle room for appointments), and they put me on hold for 3 minutes, so I hung up, they’ll figure it out when we don’t show up.

I know it’s petty and I am probably the AH here, and I shouldn’t have been late, but 3 minutes, really?

Edit to add: I am well aware they may try to bill me a missed appointment fee. Not worried about it, even if they send me to collections(which they won’t).
