So, my grandma has dementia and forgets that her dog passed away a few months back, and still buys the dog’s food. Of course, she had no idea where the receipt went, either. I tried to exchange the bag of dog food today (unopened, in date) for food for her cat, and was told it cost too much to return/exchange without a receipt. A few months back, my grandma did the same thing, with the same dog food and no receipt, and petsmart had no issue with me exchanging it for the cat food.
I was just wondering if the return policy changed? Online, it doesn’t say anything about a price limit for returns without a receipt. I’m just going to give the food to the animal shelter, so it doesn’t matter either way, i was just curious.
