Petsitting hustle
Post Body

Hey guys,

I want to pet sit as a side hustle for the time being. I have a cat of my own and I’ve dealt with dogs before, not my own. I wonder should I sign up on a company website or do my own thing? I was thinking of putting up fliers around my area (of course putting in a “fake number” which people can contact me but not have my real number).

Thoughts? Thanks :)

I was raised with pets and have almost always had at least 1 dog. I started pet sitting as a side hustle and started with co workers and people in book club, etc. I am also signed up on Rover, which I do get some business there, too.

You will need to be pretty comfortable with dogs before you start sitting. All dogs are different and you have to be able to read them and know when to back off and know when they are bored, etc. I didn't listen to my gut and got bit for my trouble. My house has been trashed my puppies I didn't give enough simulation to. I've been accused of ruining a clients shower because I used the wrong soap.

This isn't a gig for the faint hearted!
