I’m looking for advice on how to get a dog to use a pee pee pad. She literally will go right next to it or across the room or whatever.
She’s an older dog and I’m not sure what training she had as a puppy. But I’ll likely be caring for her a few times a year so I want to figure this out.
I’m new to dog sitting…and most of my pet experience is with cats.
I started putting more peepee pads down and putting her poop or pee (absorbed in a paper towel) on the pad. I’ve heard this can work for cats to help them find their litter box. But I’m not sure if dogs work the same.
Any advice is appreciated. Unfortunately my new place (where I will be doing the sitting) does have some carpet and I don’t want to ruin it.
