Dogs being a danger to passers by
Post Body

An issue which comes up on Petfree and Dogfree is how dangerous dogs are and there are posts on people injured or killed in dog attacks. When going for walks I have passed houses where dogs start barking and growling even when I am some distance away. When walking down a lane a dog barked and started chasing me. I ran and luckily the dog stopped chasing me. I regret I didn't report the owners to the police. On walks in the country I often go pass isolated houses and I suspect dogs in such houses are particularly dangerous because they are not used to passers by and and treat them with hostility. Have you or know people who have had experiences with aggressive dogs when passing a dog owners house either an actual attack or felt threatened.
