Hi all! Thanks for everyone who voted in the last poll and the other five before it. By the power of voting, we've determined that of all of Gabriel's studio albums, his best (more like most popular), was So! The journey was very interesting and there were many tense moments, but So came out on top, nevertheless.
Now we move onto a new series, the extended catalogue of albums by Gabriel face-off. For the first round I've decided to put the four albums which are centralised on the theme of blood, hence the title. This was partially to make things more organised, but also because I liked theming potential it had.
The options are:
- Scratch My Back - Peter Gabriel performs a series of classic songs from other artists such as David Bowie's "Heroes" and Paul Simon's "Boy In The Bubble".
- And I'll Scratch Yours - A compilation of Peter Gabriel's greatest works performed by infamous artists, including the likes of Randy Newman performing "Big Time" and Bon Iver performing "Come Talk To Me".
- New Blood - A series of Gabriel's tracks re-preformed as amazing Orchestral compositions.
- Live Blood - An album dedicated to Gabriel's live performance at the Apollo in London. The album contains many of his classics, to some of his newer works for the time and renditions of other artist's works. All performed in a beautiful orchestral setting.
After this ballot, I'll probably be doing the same thing, just with other subsets. The soundtrack albums could be clubbed together, the same with other Live albums. I may even start doing singles afterwards. For now, let us witness who is the true-blood, bloodbath winner.
