I'm currently applying for other jobs because I can't deal BUT basically. A new-ish coworker was hired in the grooming salon maybe 2 or 3 months ago, she has been grooming for 25 years and supposedly groomed all over the country and owned her own salons. This woman is actually psychotic. She screams at dogs loud enough for customers outside of the salon to hear, yanks them around, shoves them, pinches them. Even if the dogs aren't doing anything wrong. Every single dog is supposedly horrible and evil. It's come to a head and myself, my coworker C and my GSL K have all voiced our concerns to the GM and there is a " supposed " investigation underway but nothing is being done and apparently the GM won't write this woman up for screaming at the dogs because we "all yell at the dogs" which is literally.... not true.

So myself and C said we would not stay if this doesn't get resolved because who wants to work with someone who abuses dogs??? Not only is it wrong but I don't want to work in a salon with that kind of reputation because it will never go away. And my GSL voiced her concern of losing the two of us to our GM and the GM said it was mine and C's fault for creating a hostile work environment and basically fuck you. She said "if they want to leave let them". I have been grooming here for over 6 years and was considering becoming a mentor ONLY BECAUSE MY GM BEGGED ME TO. My coworker C walked out and quit today. I don't even know what to do or who to speak to so this psycho groomer can be fired so I'm leaving I guess. Nice to know how the GMs feel about their groomers. If there is anything I can do so this woman gets what is coming then I would love to hear it, otherwise I guess this is a vent. Fuck Petco for real I cannot wait to leave
