Recommended Kitchen Trash Can for Roaches in Apartment?

Post Body

I've lived in my place about 4 years now. Never used to have an issue until my neighbors moved in last years. Since then, there's been an increase in activity (I usually find 1-2 running around every evening in the kitchen). I've had management spray about every 3 months or so--activity ceases for about a week then recurs. I've used combat traps and boric acid in the kitchen/under and behind fridge. I think one of the areas that needs more attention is my kitchen trash can. I take it out every few days but I assume that whenever something goes in there, that's free food for the bugs. I have a basic stainless trash can, but I'm posting here to find out if there's something that works better for my problem. Thanks!
