Central Florida pest control company seeking recommendations for alternative treatment methods for German cockroaches

Post Body

Hello I am a manager for a privately owned pest control company who’s name I do not wish to disclose or advertise (apologies to anybody looking for help but this isn’t the place)

Currently we have an uptick in new customers wishing to have their German cockroaches addressed and wishing to start services with us. This is because we have a very aggressive plan and have been very successful and are very competitively priced, however. I do the service, I am only paid 10% production. I also sell the service and 10% one time on an annual pest control with a German roach start pays $52.50, and when requiring 3 or more follow ups once a week my pay gets drastically cut with each stop. This is ridiculous and not worth my effort as selling the service alone takes at least a hour to complete. I have spoken on multiple occasions with the owner and he refuses to pay anything above and beyond the 10% commission citing I should find more efficient ways to do it.

Here’s what I do currently. When treating German roaches my primary tool is chlorfenapyr (phantom) I mix at label rate and apply to all cabinets drawers behind and in all appliances and cracks and crevices as best as I can with a hand pump sprayer. Once completed I bait all areas. Then I bait with a indoxacarb bait or fipronil bait and apply Drione dust to all cabinets drawers behind appliances etc as well as dust and bait behind any electrical outlets or drain outlets. I repeat this process over and over again once a week typically for at least 3 weeks with some houses requiring additional future follow ups every 2 weeks. All this is uncompensated for.

So far I have researched actisol fumigation. I plan on using alpine wsg and gentrol with 2 weeks follow ups. I also plan on using strictly fipronil baits.

The thing I’ve heard works best is doing a flush and treatment with a flushing agent and vacuuming them. I heard this is a one time things pretty quick and cheap for company cost. I don’t know exactly what product to use or the appropriate methods.

What do you do? What do you think of my methods? What do you think of the proposed methods?

Please only provide recommendations that are lawful. I prefer experienced pest technicians or owners reach out rather than diy as we are licensed and I want to be fully compliant. Thank you
