Need help figuring out what's on my plants.

The mods over at /r/plantclinic are making it extremely difficult to ask questions so I'm posting here.
I thought it was thrips, but now I'm wondering if it's mealybugs.
Help! And any recommendations on how to kill them? I've already sacrificed the worst offending plants.
