$4 mil each invested by state and federal government - has anyone heard anything about this? Project was updated in May 2024 and is slated for 'Late 2024', not that there is much of it left!
I know there was some talk of a line spurring off after Cockburn Central to Bunbury down Forrest Highway, but wouldn't it be more cost effective to upgrade the existing Australind line and make it dual tracked and electrified the whole way (presuming some sort of electrification if they took the Forrest Highway route)?
How would you implement a Bunbury line? Do you think it's viable?
