Hello everyone,
I’m French who just arrived in Perth, and I’m on a mission to travel the world while earning some cash. What better way to do that than through FIFO jobs? I hold a White Card, RSA certification, and a valid Australian driver’s license, and I'm ready to dive into this adventure.
Professionally, I’ve spent three years flipping burgers at McDonald’s and a year at the Mercure Hotel as a receptionist.
Now, I’m eager to transition into the FIFO sector, as it would allow me to explore new places while filling my bank account. I’m reaching out to this community for advice on how to enter a FIFO job. Specifically, I’d love to know:
- What certifications or training do you recommend ? Are there any specific tickets or courses that can help me secure a FIFO position?
- How did you get your FIFO job ? I’m interested in hearing about your experiences and any tips you have for someone just starting out.
- Would going through a recruitment agency be beneficial ? I’ve heard mixed opinions about this, so I’d like to know if it helped anyone in this community land a FIFO role.
Any insights or advice you could share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!
Best,
Germain
