Rental Question - Leaking Aircon

Post Body

Hey all! First time poster so apologies in advance for formatting and the long winded post!

I'm currently renting through someone who is friends with my sister and have been here since April last year. During this time, I've had to have multiple things fixed which is understandable as it's an older unit - one thing that has been a constant issue is the airconditioner in the main bedroom started to leak water when on cool/auto and would make a loud buzzing noise which I can hear outside. I mentioned this to the owner and apparently it had been an issue when they were living here. After a few messages, they finally organised a tech to come and check it out (this in itself was a massive headache as they kept cancelling/rescheduling)

Anyway, the tech finally came out and flushed it. I figured it was all good after, but then the next day it started leaking again. This time the buzzing was super loud and wouldn't stop even after switching it off. I messaged the owner who said that it had been an ongoing issue and pretty much wont do anything about. Its kinda shitty as I'm paying $500 a week... is there anything I can do.??
