Post Body

Hello All - I currently live in the US for more than a year and when I was in India, I had SIPs in Indian MFs for more than 10 years.. I am now learning that US and Canadian folks are restricted from investing in majority of Indian Mutual Funds due to FATCA requirements.. Does anyone know if I should stop SIPs or are there any specific fund houses that do allow US residents to invest in Indian Mutual Funds?

Also, if I stop the SIPs, am I allowed to continue the investments to grow for next 20 years? The corpus I have made is substantial and wouldnt want to sell.

Finally, if I move all the funds from actively managed funds to something like Index Funds, would that be allowed for US residents? it would be something like Motilal Oswal Index that I would move to reduce the expense ratio and mimic the growth with the Index instead of depending on Mutual Fund Managers experience.
