Budgeting for owing taxes for the next tax season

So this is my first year owing a big amount to the irs. I was unaware I would owe since they were filled by my moms boyfriend not my tax guy. Yesterday they were offically filled, and I got the number of 1770 that I owe. I usually will make a plan with my finances of generally how I want them to go for the new year. I’m not sure if I should budget for taxes for next year since I make too much to get a refund now. Has anyone every done this, I should also add I’m w2 so I don’t work for myself or anything.
