IUL for someone with not a lot
Post Body

So my wife (30F) and I (34M) just sat in a zoom call with a friend from her job and his trainer since her work friend recently got his license to start selling these kinds of plans. We sat with them for over two hours and a lot of it sounds almost too good to be true. However, from what I am finding through other testimonies, it’s something to only consider if you have other means of investing maxed out, which they most certainly are not for us. Our financial situation isn’t exactly the greatest right now since we don’t exactly have a lot of disposable income, but we’re trying to correct some of our shortcomings and we also have a lot we would like to invest in for our future. Long and short of it is, is this a worthwhile thing to start investing in or is it a cash grab on their part?
