My son is attending college this fall. He has 529 accounts with myself and my father.
My father is worried about making tax free withdraws. I am simply depositing the funds into my account and writing a check to my son. Dad wants to send the funds directly to the school.
Am I opening myself up to IRS scrutiny? What’s the best way to do this?
