Buy a house first or pay a loan first

Need help I don't know what to do, I want to buy a house but last year a used almost all my credit cards because last year were hard for my and my wife, so we decided to apply for a loan on January to pay all the credit cards is about 8k so two months ago we move out of our department to my parents house to save more money, so for the moment we have 5k on savings, here is where any the help because I don't know what to do I pay those 5k to de loan or I just keep saving for the house. Sorry for my way to write.
