Hi all. Just looking for some basic advice on steps to take for retirement planning for my wife and me.
A bit about us: early 30s, married with no kids (and no plans for them). We both work, and both max our 401(k) contributions each year. As far as I understand it, we’re not eligible for a Roth IRA based on our income. We own our home with maybe 25 years left on the mortgage. We’ve got a savings account that we could live off of for roughly two years with no income.
What should we be doing to plan for our long term financial health? I’m happy to learn about things myself, but I don’t know where to begin as I’ve never really been taught about any options beyond a 401(k).
Thanks in advance!
