Should I try to buy a home?
Post Body

I receive $1097 in SSDI and maybe $1000 extra per year doing computer work. My bills consist of $65 car insurance and a $53 phone payment. I talked with a credit counselor and she suggested a $77/month payment for my medical collections (my mom was my payee and wouldn’t pay them, but I have a new payee now). My Equifax credit score is 585 because I just got a hard inquiry for a loan I didn’t take. It should also go up when I pay off a $35 collections account. I found a house on the market for $65k, but it’s worth a lot less I think. I just found out I could possibly qualify for a HUD loan, and I’d have to have a 3.5% down payment. I will have about $1500 when I get my tax refund, and my boyfriend could let me borrow his $1400 stimulus check that I just helped him get. I could also get a roommate. My estimated monthly payment would be about $454. Internet would be free, so I’d just have to pay for water and power.
