I am 20, so I went to a vape store to try and get some d8 and an elfbar. I handed the store owner my ID (supposed to be 21) and he said I was all good! So I was like sweet letโs do it and then at checkout the man tried to ask me for a look at my debit card to see if it matches the ID. Well unfortunately for me the account was not in my name (not stolen (parents card)), so I left immediately and that was that. Now Iโm wondering the legality of his question to ask to see my debit card and was wondering if anyone knew. Iโve heard of people checking ID for credit card due to fraud, but never checking credit card to confirm identification of the user buying.
