I have applied for a credit card thrice in the last two months - twice with Discover and once with BofA and have been rejected all times. I got an explanation in the mail, but was not very clear. So, I decided to call the customer care for Discover and see why I was getting rejected. The customer rep told me that when they try to pull up my information using my socials and name nothing comes up on their end (no name, nothing) and hence can't even verify my identity. They asked me to contact Experian the credit bureau they refer to for credit check. But I can't find a number that or service that supports this sort of an issue. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? If yes, how did you rectify it?
