I bought a truck 9 years ago, I paid and paid and one day I got divorced, fired from my job because I wasn’t dealing with that well by drinking. It’s all a blur and 5 years later I have an accidental title without a lender on it from when I registered my vehicle in a new state. Long story short, I quit paying and the bank shows a charge off on my credit report. Regardless of the “accidental” title I have, since the bank charged it off because they were not able to repo it after trying for so long. Do I “own” this truck and can I sell it? Can I request a new title?
