Hi, I have a tricky situation involving working as an election worker and receiving a 1099NEC, but also being employed by the county and receiving a W2. Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated.

I worked for my local county election office and received $800 compensation for 4 elections in 2020, they issued me a 1099NEC for that amount, nothing withheld, just $800 in box 1.

I also was an employee for the same county and received a W2 with wages and social security tax and medicare tax withheld, the W2 does NOT include the $800 from the 4 elections.

I believe that the election worker income should have been included on my W2, when I enter the 1099NEC into TaxSlayer it prompts me to add Schedule C which I believe is incorrect.

Guidance that I have looked through is located here https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1099nec.pdf, where Page 5 directs me to file 8919, I'm assuming this is an option with code H. This is the correct method I believe.

Other guidance I found is here, https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USIRS/bulletins/2b10833 "Do you Hire Election Workers?" and https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw2w3.pdf page 9.

Thanks for any help or guidance that you know of that I haven't located.
