Simple mistake now on credit report

So about a year ago I had a card that I paid off the small balance I had on it. In my mind it was paid off so I didn’t even look at the next statement, the next one came in and I happened to open it to see there was like $2 that had hit after I paid the statement balance. Which was now 31 days past due. I of course paid it but now realize that it is on my credit report. Is there any way to get this removed since it was such a small amount or am I just stuck with it until it falls off.
